Geely Galaxy (吉利银河) is a separate Geely brand for battery-electric and plug-in hybrid models: Galaxy E5, E8, L6, L7, A7, Starship 7 (星舰7) and Xingyuan (星愿). The cars are serviced in the Geely Galaxy app, which links the vehicle to the owner's account through a Chinese +86 number.
What does not work without a +86 number
- Registering in the Geely Galaxy app
- The master account: binding the car by VIN
- Transferring the account to a new owner
- Recovering access when the previous owner's number is lost
- The digital key and keyless access from the phone
- Remote functions: climate, charging, subscriptions, updates
How to transfer the Geely Galaxy master account
- The previous owner opens the Geely Galaxy app and unbinds the car from their account.
- The new owner adds the car by VIN and confirms the SMS code.
- The code goes to the Chinese +86 number. If it is lost or registered to the previous owner, we issue a new number within a day.
- After confirmation the car moves to the new owner's account together with remote functions and subscriptions.
How to recover access when the previous owner is unreachable
If the previous owner does not respond or their number is dead, the transfer goes through a new +86 number: the account is recovered onto it and the car is then bound to the new owner from there. All we need is your first and last name in Latin letters and the foreign passport number — no document photos and no selfie.
Geely Galaxy and Geely are different apps
Geely Galaxy has its own app (吉利银河), while Geely has the general one (吉利汽车). Some models appear in both, depending on the year and the market. If you are not sure which app your car is bound to, send us the VIN and we will tell you which account to recover.
From there everything is standard: the +86 number stays yours, confirmation codes arrive to it, and you see the SMS in the app. Support is available in Russian and English.
